Worgen Animation Overload !

The female Worgen model seems to be finished! It was introduced in the latest Beta-build and is now playable on the cataclysm beta servers.

Below are some video's of the male and female Worgen animations. I especially love the fact that they've finally implemented the 'running wild' animation and i must say, it looks really cool.

I'm cant wait to roll me a Worgen warrior. Imagine that: a puppy in plate!

Enjoy!

Blizzcon 2010

Blizzcon 2010 took place in the Anaheim Convention Center last week and boy oh boy was there a LOT of info there ! Well.. a lot of information all together, not really that much on Warlocks specifically though...
A quick re-cap of some things we learned at Blizzcon 2010:
  • Outland and Northrend will receive revamps in the future to fix the wacky time-line we'll be dealing with at the start of Cataclysm.
  • Cataclysm will be downloadable on launch day
  • We will most definitely see some sort of incarnation of the Emerald Dream (and/or Nightmare) in the future
  • The Worgen cinematic was released
  • We got a look at the Cataclysm log in screen
Noobclubru has also uploaded loads of vids containing footage of the different panels, check out his youtube-page

The birth of a Blog

Greetings from within the Nether !

It seems like i have finally gotten around to creating a blog. Quite the achievement wouldn't you think ? I guess it's best if i introduce myself a little bit, in case someone actually reads this (my hopes however, are not that high).

As you might have noticed, this is a World of Warcraft blog so WoW will be the main topic of my posts. I might branch off a little here and there, but for the most part it'll all be about WoW and more specifically: Warlocks

My main character (at the moment) is a Human Warlock called Toendra (pronounced "Tundra" like the Borean one, up in Northrend) I play on the European realm "Terenas" and I'm a very proud member of a little social/raiding guild called Last in Line (and yes, we are in fact recruiting).
I tried to play WoW shortly after the release, but due to lack of a descent computer, i wasn't able to actually get into it until the summer of 2007. However i was hooked from the first time i saw that gorgeous opening cinematic.

over the next couple of years I played, loved and hated the game. I raided hardcore, dabbled in pvp and have taken extended breaks from the game all together but my fascination for WoW, the Lore and the community  has always persisted.
And now i' m here.

So who's behind the character? I' m a 21 year old male, living in Belgium (Antwerp, to be exact). I make a living in logistics and in my spare time i like to read, write, play videogames (obviously), watch movies, geek out with my friends and spend time with my girlfriend.

So what's the purpose of this Blog you might ask ? Well, that's a very good question. What will set me apart from other WoW Blogs? What will make me unique and interesting to read ?

I'm not that sure.. As of right now i don't even know if there will ever be a post after this one.
But my intentions are to bring you, the readers, news and interesting articles about the World of Warcraft, from my own Warlock perspective.
I'll try to feature a bunch of regularly returning segments, some returning once a week, others you'll see a few times a week.

As of right now, with the Cataclysm looming over the horizon and Blizzcon starting this weekend there will probably be a lot of ground to cover, perfect exercise for a first time Blogger don't you think ? So don't be surprised if things are a little messy at the start.
I'll do my best to keep this Blog as up to date as i can and if you have any comments, suggestions or questions you can leave them right here.

I hope we'll meet again soon! Until then: bind your Healthstones to your actionbar and leave the Summoning to the experts.
