Things are starting to get interesting again...
As we enter the final month of the 'Wrath of the Lich King' expansion the events concerning the return of Deathwing the Destroyer begin to unfold.
Elementals are spawning in zones all over Azeroth. Killing one of each (Fire, Water, Earth and Wind) will grant you a feat of strenght and defeating the portal that spawns the Elementals grants you a 'Mysterious device' which gives you a daily quest
For those of you that haven't been in Azeroth lately, I'll give you a quick recap on what's going on:
- The Gnomes and Trolls have retaken their native homes ( or in the Gnomes' case, the surface at least)
- Violent earthquakes have been felt around Azeroth , their frequency and strength are increasing dramatically as time passes
- the Racial leaders are gathering in their Faction's capital city to discuss the ongoing events
- The Earthen Ring is gathering in Stormwind and Oggrimar, they feel the unease of the elements and are looking for answers.
If you want a detailed report of the new quests, keep on reading !
Prophets of Doom
And as if the current chaos isn't bad enough, The Twillight's Hammer cult ,a band of deranged lunatics, bent on ensuring the end of all life on Azeroth, is spreading chaos and fear in both Stormwind and Oggrimar. Preying on the confusion of the citizens and spreading their malicious propaganda, they try to recruit as many civilians as they can to work on their 'projects'.
Ofcourse, that's not going to happen on your watch, so you infiltrate the cult to find out what they are really up to.
The Big Bad Two-headed Ogre
After completing a few quests (one in particular i found very amusing was a quest that had you running around spreading the cult's message of impending doom and wearing a picket !) you are sent of to go to an altar. Once there the image of a really handsome two-headed ogre named Cho'Gall pops up. This guy is the current leader of the Twilight's Hammer cult, and he is very much insane.
Power and insanity are always an interesting mix, don't you agree ?
Now, this guy is interesting, not only because his model is so awesome, but also because he will be the final boss of the Bastion of Twilight one of the new entry-level raid instances in Cataclysm. So you will probably be seeing a lot more of him after december 7th.
This is shaping up to be a killer pre-launch event, If you are wondering what might happen next, check out the Elemental Invasion page on wowpedia.
